Moraine Lake

Moraine Lake is among the most famous lakes in Canada. It is among the most photographed structures in the country, and has been featured in many places, including the Canadian dollar bill. The glacially fed lake is located at the Banff National Park, which is located at about fourteen kilo meters ( eight miles ) from the lake Louise Village in Alberta in Canada. The Moraine lake is located at the valley of the Ten peaks, and is located at about six thousand feet ( fifteen hundred meters ) above sea level. The surface area of the lake is about 1 / 2 sq Kilo meters.




Moraine Lake is fed by a glacier, and due to this the lake does not reach to the top most position till late June. When the lake is completely full, there is a shade of blue that is displayed, which is because of the refracting light off the rock powder deposition in the lake. The sight is extremely beautiful, and has a whole range of attractions here. This is also home to the Grizzly bear, so take care.
There is a whole range of trails for walking and hiking here. Exploring these regions are the most fun things to do here, There are whole number of exciting destinations here; Some heavenly sights and sounds. There are a number of of restrictions, and these with be regularly updated by Parks Canada.

The Rockpile Trail is the one that is most popularly taken by travlers. The trail is am ong the most taken, and winds along the moraine and is about three hundred m long. There is an elevation of about twenty four m ( seventy nine feet ). Moraine Lake’s views are among the most loved. The heavenly views here have to be seen to be beleved, and are among the most photographed sights in Canada. The view of the mountains that is located behind the lake in the valley of ten peaks is extremely famous, and was featured on the reverse sides of the twenty dollar bill for Canada in 1969 and 1979.
